Add a 3rd party device to IoT cloud

Supported third-party boards and other devices can be connected to the IoT Cloud. These devices are supported:

  • LoRa® devices
  • A wide range of 3rd party boards based on the ESP32 and ESP8266 microcontrollers

  1. Go to the IoT Cloud.

  2. Sign in to your account.

  3. On top of the page, click the Devices tab.

  4. Click the Add Device button.

  5. Select the Set up a 3rd party device section in the pop-up window.

    Make sure you have Create Agent installed and running.

  6. Select the type and model of the board, then click Continue.

  7. Proceed with the instructions to set up your device. When finished, it will be added to the Devices tab.
