Upload the Science Journal firmware
In order to add the Nano 33 BLE Sense to the Arduino Science Journal App you must first make sure the correct firmware is uploaded to the board.
To do so you must first add the correct library to the IDE. In this case, the library will be named "Arduino_ScienceJournal".
Find and open the firmware upload sketch in
File > Examples > Arduino Science Journal > Nano33BLESenseFirmware and upload this to your board. If you are the Arduino Science Kit Physics Lab setup, choose
PhysicsLabFirmware. With newer board platforms both sketches may be located in
File > Examples > INCOMPATIBLE > Arduino Science Journal instead.
Click Upload and wait for the process to finish. Compilation may take several minutes and the console will not print any messages during this time unless verbose output is enabled in settings. You can monitor the progression bar in the top-right of the console pane.
Add your device to Science Journal
- Open or create a new experiment.
- Tap 'Sensors'.
- Open settings by pressing the cogwheel button in the top right.
- Scroll down to the 'Arduino Boards' category and tap to expand it (you may have to scroll additionally for the revealed items to show).
- Tap your device name.
Your device will now be added to My Devices where you can access the sensors.
