What kind of data can we send through Portenta Vision Shield ethernet port?

The ethernet connection featured on the Vision Shield for Portenta H7 allows you to connect your Portenta H7 board to a local network or the Internet.

Features

  • Use HTTP methods and APIs.
  • Communicate with another Portenta board.
  • Communicate with other devices.

Application examples

  • Control the Portenta H7 I/O pins from a web server application and trigger your system upon the detection of sound, and camera events.
  • Send processed information based on data acquired by the camera or microphone of the Vision Shield directly to your web server application.

Note

Currently there are no applications developed for transmitting real-time video or audio.
